IT SYSTEM MANAGER 

37 hours per week, All Year Round (requirement to travel between Trust schools).

A vacancy has arisen for an IT System Manager to work at our Trust Central Offices with a committed team of professionals to provide 3rd Line technical support across the whole Academy network.

Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.

The Trust is sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. Both sponsors seek to ensure that all our young people receive a truly inspiring education. Their support, challenge and expertise are greatly valued.

The role of System Manager offers the chance to design, drive and manage the technical IT services across our academies, which serve some of the most varied communities in Bristol. We are looking to appoint a System Manager to be proactive in managing the Trusts core Infrastructures to assist its drive towards cloud technology and management. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the Trusts current IT network systems, including hardware, software and our journey to the cloud. It is essential that the candidate demonstrate an ability to work with a range of people at all levels including young people.
